Finding a Specific Journal Using Journal Finder
Journal Finder, available on the Library home page, helps you find journals available in full-text within UMUC library's electronic resources.
- Enter the journal title OR ISSN.
- If you enter the journal title, select one of the following: Contains, Begins with, or Exact match.
- If known, enter the year you need.
- Click the button.
If prompted, login with the same username and password you use to login to your online classes or to MyUMUC.
If you get a screen that says your search matched multiple items, select the title of your journal.
A separate popup window will appear. The popup window will contain a list of links to resources in which the journal is available in full text.
Note: Some links go directly to a journal, but in some cases you may need to browse or search the full-text source to find a specific article or journal.
No Electronic Version Available?
If an electronic version is not available, a message will appear that says This document is not in UMUC's collection. You may then request the article you need through DocumentExpress.
No Popup Window Appears
If you do not see a separate popup window when clicking the Find It button, your computer may have a popup blocker program. Run Browser Quick Check to determine if your popup blocker settings are correct.
